IMG_2242 What a weekend! We had our official Grand Opening Backyard Barbeque Party this weekend and it was such a blast.  The weather was absolutely gorgeous (finally!) and everyone was super excited.  Thursday night was the ribbon cutting. It was actually pretty funny because Don and Roy had these big blue scissors but they were plastic and couldn’t cut anything so we had to rig the ribbon so it looked like it was being cut. Other than that, everything went off without a hitch.

Saturday and Sunday we had BBQ all day from the Festus VFW Post 3777  and Craig Cornett came to hang out. We gave away tons of door prizes, like restaurant gift certificates and Cards tickets. Later in the afternoon Ed Dixon and Bobby Bittle from the I- 55 Raceway stopped by and showed off their race cars.

Sunday Big Mike from Z107.7 came by and the Land Of Giants Truck Club was there all day. They are the largest non-profit in Jefferson County and they raise money for St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.  We were so happy to have everyone there celebrating with us!

Everyone who visited Valle Creek Community was amazed at how beautiful it was. So many people came through to see the model and I heard over and over again how thrilled the visitors were that something this fabulous and this affordable was available in Jefferson County.  So, if you missed it, don’t worry, you can come visit anytime you want and see for yourself!

This is our official “We’re Here!” Party.  It will be just like a big, backyard barbeque.  We’re going to have a Mini Golf Tournament at 1:00 p.m. and a Washers Tournament at 2:00 p.m. Email (itsmyneighborhood@vallecreek.com) me to sign up!  The Lions Club is going to be barbequing all day. We are having a few surprise guests come by too, but I’d get in trouble if I told you who.       Billy Greenwood from The Bull will be there and, of course, the models will be open for you to fall in love with.  It’ll be a blast come and hang out!

We are officially opening! The clubhouse will be completely finished and the place will be getting set up for the big Grand Opening Party on the 17th and 18th. Make sure you have those dates on your calendar. This is just the part where we cut the ribbon with those big scissors and everybody claps and takes pictures
